Nose:

I don’t know how smoke can smell sweet but it does, like toasted caramel and wood smoke with the barest tickle of pear drops, sticky red berries and soft ginger.

Palate:

Smoky sweetness with caramel and really old, well-worn leather, and creamy fruitiness of the sweet red wine.

Finish:

A luscious long finish with lingering wood smoke competing equally for your attention with the rich, sweet caramelised fruits, butterscotch and tannins.
